The solution that has found the most traction is This has been a common problem with laptops and windows 10 from what I can gather. I have tried all the recommended actions listed HP support assistant has no updates available and in device manager there is no unknown device or IDT driver listed under the sound, video, and game controllers. I've even tried the windows 8 and 8.1 versions (sp63555.exe) and run them with compatibility mode, but same error. I uninstalled IDT as per a support page somewhere, did a hard reset, and tried to run the driver installation file (from hp) (sp53281.exe) but it says "the hardware detected is not supported." I've read all the posts on hp support and google about this issue. Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) ![]()
